Sunday 12 September 2021 Photo London: Rankin in Conversation Rankin, British portrait and fashion photographer behind images of stars including Kate Moss, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Boy George, and Lily Allen, takes part in Q&A to celebrate the re-opening of his Annroy studio ahead of the launch of his new accommodation, The Penthouse Salon, as part of Photo London.

The evening began with a talk about Rankin's famous works including Bjork, The Rolling Stones and the Queen before moving on to the work her created while isolating during lockdown, turning to nature with still-life photography of flowers.

"The party was glorious & had a great time of course. I wanted to have a little chat with Rankin but his friend told me he’s looking really tired so I decided not to. I loved the party and think the Penthouse is Fabulous 😍. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly everyone was : usually Fashionista’s and Party People spend most of the evening being too cool for school to do small talk but I guess that elitism has been worn down by being in lockdown. I thought the Flowers 💐 🌸🌻🌼🌹🌼🥀collection was beautiful in the space and had a calming, meditativaness It was good to see Rankin, I did some styling with him in my early days as a Stylist soon after graduating and remarkably he has maintained the same enthusiasm, passion and energy for what he does… Thank You Rankin for continuing to be a trailblazer and allowing us to party 🎉 🍾🪅with you in your crib. - Samson Soboye
